tick tock

If you know anyone who is still in denial that growth is real and that we had better get our act together quickly in figuring out how to live and develop sustainably, send them to Peter Russell's World Clock.  The site indicates, in numbers that change constantly in more or less real time, world births, deaths, net population change, oil consumed, carbon dioxide emitted, forest land cut, and more.  It is startling to see.

There's other interesting stuff on Russell's web site, too.
