The Sundance Channel currently has a neat series of 2-minute perspectives on the High Line, the city's elevated-railway-turned-cool-linear-park.  The one just below is narrated by Adrian Benape, the city's parks commissioner.  I particularly like what he has to say about the interaction between parks and development and parks and neighborhoods:
