Stunning photos of a world-class, walkable city

My wife is in Spain this week, so I am somewhat pathetically trying to live vicariously through photographs. Fortunately, I just came across a great batch from new urbanist, "orginal green" designer, and photographer extraordinaire Steve Mouzon, who was in Madrid not long ago. Here is a sample, which Steve has been kind enough to allow me to share.
In particular, a world-class city needs bustling public places:
It needs quiet ones, too:
It needs architectural character, and a grand promenade:
A great city needs interesting places to shop and browse:
It needs cafes and and interesting streetscapes in the evenings:
And a quiet quarter to come home to:
Visit Steve's Madrid 3 portfolio on the web for many more images just as evocative as these, and his Original Green website on the philosophy of sustainable places and buildings.
